Phanteks have launched their new Polar ST4 and ST5 CPU coolers, with stylish looks and excellent thermal potential, giving systems a big cooling boost. The Phanteks Polar ST Series CPU coolers are now available on Overclockers UK.
Introduced last month, the Phanteks Polar ST Series consists of two models, the ST4 and ST5, with the numbers corresponding to the number of heat pipes included in the design. The ST4, featuring four sintered copper heat pipes, is optimised for entry-level systems with a maximum TDP of 235W. Meanwhile, the ST5 has five copper pipes, an all-black design that includes a top plate cover, and a max TDP of 255W, making it more suited to mainstream and high-end machines.
Phanteks M25-120 Fans
While each model is targeted at different thermal performance brackets, they both feature a Phantek M25-120 PWM DRGB fan, bringing outstanding airflow to any system build. With PWM functionality, users can adjust the fan speeds between 400 and 2000 RPM, matching the current CPU load. It can create up to 84.26 CFM airflow at a static pressure of 2.67mmH2O all while staying at a maximum noise level of 35.7dBA.
The fans also come with vibrant DRGB lighting, adding a splash of colour to the Phanteks Polar ST Series coolers. The coolers come with all necessary cables and plug directly into the motherboard after which the fan can be customised using popular RGB software such as ASUS Aura Sync, RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light and more.
Optimised Design
The Phanteks Polar ST Series CPU coolers have been optimised for effective and efficient cooling, with special care given to make sure they wont interfere with RAM modules.
For both ST4 and ST5, the heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU heat spreader. This allows the heat pipe to effectively draw heat away from the CPU, to then be expelled via the heat stack. A Phanteks PH-NDC thermal compound is included with each cooler. This high-performance 4.3/m-k thermal paste will plug any gaps between the cooler and CPU socket.
Compatibility
The Phanteks Polar ST Series is compatible with both Intel and AMD, across a range of socket types for each brand thanks to the included stand-offs and back plate.
Pricing
The Phanteks Polar ST Series CPU Coolers are now available for pre-order at Overclockers UK, the Phanteks Polar ST4 for £21.95 and Phanteks Polar ST5 for £25.99.
