While there’s likely at least a few weeks remaining before your next course of study begins, there’s also nothing quite like the peace of mind from knowing that one major aspect is already squared away. Yes, Back 2 School promotions have begun, and CyberpowerPC UK is fast out of the gate with a selection of four deals that will prepare you for your next academic year; not just in your studies, but also your next year in PC gaming.
Each of the deals are under £1000 but cater to quite different requirements. Price, performance, mobility, long-term upgradability; all are factors very much at play that will make it a purchase well worth mulling over.
Let’s get to the deals, leading off with one for those starting from scratch.
Ultra 45 B2S Gaming PC Bundle
First up is a variant of the Ultra 45, CyberpowerPC’s framework for budget gaming systems powered by AMD processors. In this instance the Ultra 45 B2S Gaming PC Bundle very much emphasises entry-level gaming by opting for a Ryzen 5 4500 processor and GeForce RTX 3050 6GB discrete GPU, which together are more than enough for 1080p gaming if you’re sensible with in-game image quality settings. They’re supported by 16GB RAM and a fast 1TB NVMe SSD from MSI, the former of which is something of a minimum bar these days for gaming.
That’s not all, this is a bundle after all. Included in the price is CyberpowerPC’s Enthusiast Gaming Bundle, consisting of a 1080p gaming monitor, headset, keyboard, mouse and mouse pad. All together, the bundle is enough to get cracking in PC gaming and meet your computing needs for each course in the coming year.
Furthermore, as an AM4-based system, there will be some scope for upgradability in the long term. AM4 is an extremely well established platform with plenty of slot-in options available through various channels, making it a canny choice if your price range is limited but you’re happy to roll up your sleeves to make changes under the hood as and when the mood takes you.
As a finshing touch, the system arrives with four 120mm ARGB LED fans and in a chassis that's designed to show off both them and the components inside.
The Ultra 45 B2S Gaming PC Bundle is priced at £699 inc. V.A.T.
Infinity 127 B2S Gaming PC
Sitting pretty at just a touch under £1000 is the Infinity 127 B2S deal, bringing together Intel’s Core i7-12700KF and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB into a quite accomplished combination. Designed for 1080p with distinct 1440p aspirations, this higher budget system leans towards an owner who wants to delve significantly deeper into the world of PC gaming and needs significantly more performance to do so.
The 12700KF is an exceptional 12-core/20-thread processor built on Intel’s LGA1700 platform with scope for overclocking, but it won’t be doing any in this system. CyberpowerPC paired it with an H610 motherboard to keep costs down and so it’s a relief to know that the processor’s stock performance is excellent. 16GB of DDR4 memory is once again the minimum but a healthy one at that.
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB works very well indeed as a 1080p gaming card. With some judicious tweaking of in-game settings it will also be adequate for 1440p, particularly in the most popular ‘esports’ titles such as Fortnite, League of Legends and CS:GO. Be smart and it will easily last for a few years of high-octane play.
Finally, CyberpowerPC also equipped the system with a fast 1TB NVMe SSD and four 120mm ARGB LED fans. That’s plenty to get started with, and (if needed) upgrading storage in the system during your education will be very easy.
Upgrades are possible long-term, but in particular you’ll look at swapping the motherboard and RAM for kit that unlocks processor overclocking. That said, it really shouldn’t be necessary until deep into its expected life-span.
The Infinity 127 B2S Gaming PC comes in at £999 inc. V.A.T.
Both the desktop systems include next-day shipping and are supported by CyberpowerPC UK’s Desktop Standard Warranty of 5 years labour, 12-month collect and return and lifetime tech support.

Desktop systems might not be in your wheelhouse due to limited space or a need for mobility. If so then CyberpowerPC has a couple of notebook alternatives you might be interested in.
MSI Thin GF63 12UCX-472UK Gaming Laptop
This budget 15.6” laptop incorporates Intel’s 12th Gen i5-12400H, 16GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 2050 at just £549, allowing for plenty of gaming in a thin form-factor design ideal for home and college. The 512GB SSD is perhaps a little on the tight side but 16GB RAM remains a good standard for this style of system that will serve you well deep into your studies and nightly Fortnite sessions.
MSI Cyborg 14 A13VF-011UK Gaming Laptop
Very much a bigger brother of the Thin GF63 in specification if not in size, this 14” notebook is powered by a 13th Gen i7-13620H and discrete GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GPU to push its performance a healthy margin further. Gaming at 1080p should be a breeze, but just as important will be the low size and weight profile that should make lugging it to and from classes a pretty trivial matter. It’s equipped with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD, factors that should serve it well in both gaming and academic studies, but both will be upgradable long-term should the need arise.
The MSI Cyborg 14 A13VF-011UK is priced at £899 inc. V.A.T.
