Sitting pretty at just a touch under £1000 is the Infinity 127 B2S deal, bringing together Intel’s Core i7-12700KF and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB into a quite accomplished combination. Designed for 1080p with distinct 1440p aspirations, this higher budget system leans towards an owner who wants to delve significantly deeper into the world of PC gaming and needs significantly more performance to do so.
The 12700KF is an exceptional 12-core/20-thread processor built on Intel’s LGA1700 platform with scope for overclocking, but it won’t be doing any in this system. CyberpowerPC paired it with an H610 motherboard to keep costs down and so it’s a relief to know that the processor’s stock performance is excellent. 16GB of DDR4 memory is once again the minimum but a healthy one at that.
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB works very well indeed as a 1080p gaming card. With some judicious tweaking of in-game settings it will also be adequate for 1440p, particularly in the most popular ‘esports’ titles such as Fortnite, League of Legends and CS:GO. Be smart and it will easily last for a few years of high-octane play.

Upgrades are possible long-term, but in particular you’ll look at swapping the motherboard and RAM for kit that unlocks processor overclocking. That said, it really shouldn’t be necessary until deep into its expected life-span.
