Razer have been forging ahead with innovative design in gaming peripherals for some time, but there's no such thing as a perfect product for all in gaming. The Razer Naga is a case in point: whilst ideal for many MMO gamers down to the sheer number of re-mappable buttons quickly available, the design is seen as awkward by some who find their thumb 'gets lost'. Razer want to address these concerns with the Naga Hex, targeting the burgeoning MOBA market which requires fast selection from one of a variety of skills.

The Naga Hex allows easy selection of one of six buttons from the thumb, and also includes a rest position - somewhere to place the thumb when no other actions are required. Utilising Synapse 2.0 software the buttons are also fully macro-able, adding significant flexibility to a mouse designed with usability first and foremost. Players of League of Legends, DOTA2 and similar games who couldn't get on with the vanilla Naga will want to keep a close eye on it; the Hex may also be ideal for upcoming action-RPG titles such as Diablo 3.

Priced at $79.99/79.99 Euros, the Naga Hex is be available for pre-order immediately for shipping on the 18/20th of January in the US/EU.
