Return of Fatal1ty branded motherboards courtesy of ASRock

Jonathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendel has now put his name to ASRock's latest P67 gaming motherboard. You may recall many similarly branded products seen in the past, some good, some less so, but ASRock intend to launch this as their premium Sandy Bridge based board.

A selection of the features to expect:

16-phase VRM
3-way SLI/Crossfire
Fatal1ty mouse (USB) port
THX audio
4x SATA 6Gb/s
4x rear USB 3.0
2x LAN
3.5" front bay adapter for SSD with 2x USB 3.0 ports
UEFI BIOS
Overclocking and power saving software

What this board offers over other high end P67 offerings isn't totally obvious yet, with perhaps the exception of the special mouse port which can automatically increase the USB polling rate (using supplied software). This is nothing to really write home about, as most gaming mice now have this function, but if you love your classic IntelliMouse or similar, it might be for you. There is that familiar red and black colour scheme, which is associated with Fatal1ty and, of course, ASUS' RoG motherboards.

See the source for a video interview with Chris Lee from ASRock marketing and Jonathan 'fatal1ty' Wendel, with a few more details on the board itself. Pricing is said to be around 250, though the units of currency are somehow unclear.

What are your impressions of this board? Will it be a hit or a flop? Let us know what you think in the forums!
