SAPPHIRE has unveiled a new version of the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT introducing a new Phantom Link power connector solution. The design is reminiscent of ASUS’ BTF approach (GC-HPWR), aiming to improve cable management by routing power more discreetly through the motherboard and chassis layout.

Aside from this new power connector interface, the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT Phantom Link Edition also appears to retain a conventional 12V-2x6 power connector positioned at the rear of the PCB. The NITRO+ RX 9070 XT Phantom Link Edition makes extensive use of cut-outs across the shroud, allowing airflow to pass through the heatsink more efficiently. A standout feature is the top grille, which offers a clear view of the cooling fins and SAPPHIRE’s Dynamic Island RGB lighting, adding a visual focal point for windowed PC builds. Around the back, the aluminium alloy backplate reinforces the card while also supporting a magnetically attached secondary plate.

According to reports from Chinese media, the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070 XT Phantom Link Edition has now arrived in testing labs, giving an early look at SAPPHIRE’s premium implementation of AMD’s latest RDNA-based GPU. The card continues the NITRO+ tradition of focusing on robust build quality, distinctive styling, and advanced cooling, while also experimenting with alternative power delivery layouts.

At the time of writing, SAPPHIRE has not disclosed official pricing or availability details for the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 9070 XT Phantom Link Edition, and it remains unclear whether the Phantom Link connector will require specific compatible motherboards.
