Scythe is releasing the next-generation Kotetsu CPU cooler featuring support for the latest Intel and AMD sockets. The Scythe Kotetsu MARK3, the exact model name released by Scythe Japan back in February, is a compact single-tower CPU cooler with four 6mm-diameter heat pipes.

Today, Scythe USA announces its global release as the "Scythe Kotetsu MARK III". The new Kotetsu MARK3 features densely packed 0.4mm-thick fins and a larger base plate of 40x40mm to match the increased IHS size of current Intel and AMD processors. The cooler also has a height of 154mm making it compatible with most desktop cases. The cooler also features an aesthetic black top cover offering a clean look.

Bundled with a single KAZE FLEX II 120 cooling fan, the Scythe Kotetsu MARK3 offers maximum memory clearance with its offset heatsink design that shifted the fins further from the memory DIMM slots. Another pair of fan clips are included allowing users to easily upgrade to a dual fan configuration with a separate purchase of another Scythe KAZE FLEX II 120 fan.
