SilverStone Technology unveiled its latest products and innovations at the recently concluded COMPUTEX 2023 expo in Taiwan. The brand introduced its latest flagship gaming chassis, the ALTA F2 along with the new SUGO 17 mini-ITX chassis. SilverStone also introduced three concept cases designed to support the new motherboard layout with the connectors and headers at the rear. SilverStone also introduced its latest additions to its power supply line-up and liquid cooling solutions.
SilverStone ALTA F2
Introduced earlier this year, the SilverStone ALTA F2 is the brand’s newest flagship chassis featuring the stack effect cooling design having a 90° motherboard layout. Read more about the SilverStone ALTA F2 here.
SilverStone SUGO 17
The SUGO 17 is SilverStone’s newest small form-factor chassis with a 23.5L volume and support for the larger micro-ATX motherboard form-factor given that the previous SUGO cases, SUGO 15, SUGO 14, and SUGO 16, only supports Mini-DTX and Mini-ITX.
Like the previous SUGO models, the SUGO 17 supports SFX, SFX-L and ATX power supply units. Its larger structure also supports up to two 360mm radiators for enthusiasts that prefer liquid cooling solutions. The SUGO 17 also sports a tempered glass front panel which deviates from the typical mesh panels of most SUGO models. The SilverStone SUGO 17 demonstrated at COMPUTEX is still a prototype and may be revised in the final product.
SilverStone C-541, C-542, and C-341 Concept Cases
The C-541, C-542, and C-341 are all concept cases designed by SilverStone Technology in collaboration with motherboard manufacturers. These three concept cases are designed to support motherboards with connectors at the back, a trending innovation introduced last year with the MSI Project Zero, AORUS Project Stealth, and ASUS DIY APE Revolution and TUF GAMING B760M-BTF WIFI D4 motherboards.
Only the AORUS Project Zero and ASUS DIY APE Revolution motherboards were released to the market and were only available in select regions like how GIGABYTE collaborated with MAINGEAR to sell the AORUS Project Zero concept as a pre-built PC. SilverStone’s concept cases would be compatible with these motherboards given that the motherboard manufacturers follow a certain standard as to where the connectors are located. The C-541 and C-542 are ATX cases while the C-341 is a micro-ATX case.
The concept cases might still be revised as development progress with this new motherboard standard. It is clear that this new standard requires the collaboration of case manufacturers to ensure compatibility.
