PRESS RELEASE

Northampton, UK – July 23, 2015 - StarTech.com has announced the release of its two new Gigabit Ethernet Network Cards with Intel® chipsets (ST1000SPEXI and ST4000SPEXI) that offer cost-effective Gigabit network access and maximize network performance. The new cards are ideal for IT professionals looking to maximize network performance for either single or multi-port network solutions.

With the Intel chipsets, the new cards ensure reliable network connections and provide access to many advanced features such as PXE network boot, Audio-Video Bridging and Intel® Virtualization Technology for connectivity. The single-port card adds a high-performance Gigabit port to server or desktop while the four-port network card adds multi-port network access through only one PCI Express slot allowing cost-effective access to multiple networks.

“Advanced networking solutions are just another area among many that StarTech.com prides itself in offering a wide selection of product options for our customers. The addition of these high performance business-focused network cards are the latest in this continuing trend,” said Carey Cline, Senior Product Manager for StarTech.com.

The two cards in included in this release are:

1 Port PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Network Card - Intel I210 NIC (ST1000SPEXI):

• Single 10/100/1000 compatible RJ45 port
• Designed with Intel I210-AT chipset to deliver high performance features and reliability required for more demanding business environments
• Support PXE (Pre-boot Execution Environment) boot to allow client or network systems without configured operating systems to be remotely booted
• Audio-Video Bridging
• Wake-on-LAN and 9K jumbo frame support
• Standard and low profile PCIe slot installations

4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Card - PCI Express, Intel I350 NIC (ST4000SPEXI):

• 4 x 10/100/1000 compatible RJ45 ports from a single expansion slot to maximize port density
• Designed with Intel I350-AM4 chipset to deliver high performance features and reliability required for more demanding business environments
• Support PXE (Pre-boot Execution Environment) boot to allow client or network systems without configured operating systems to be remotely booted
• Wake-on-LAN and 9K jumbo frame support
• Standard and low profile PCIe slot installations

The 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Card features the Intel Virtualization Technology for connectivity (Intel® VT-c), suitable for many business and enterprise applications - including virtualized environments with multiple operating systems, requiring multiple shared or dedicated NICs. Intel® VT-c improves the network throughput, all while reducing latency and maximizing the system’s versatility and efficiency. This creates a more agile data center and would be ideal for organizations with high-end servers such as education, government and health care.

The new 1 Port PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Network Card and 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Card from StarTech.com are available at CDW, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, PC Connection, and Insight and is distributed by Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, Tech Data, D&H and ASI.
