Well this has almost come out of nowhere! Steam has announced that soon we will be able to share our game library with friends and family. Awww! Steam, are you trying to win our hearts?
So how will it work?
Steam Family Sharing allows close friends and family members to play one another's games while earning their own Steam achievements and saving their own game progress to the Steam cloud. It's all enabled by authorizing a shared computer.
This is limited to 10 devices, commonly known as computers, and is limited to one person playing a shared game at one time with the lender having priority. To express your interest in signing up for the beta you can join the family sharing group. The beta is limited to a select number of users.
