Streacom, Dutch chassis designers with manufacturing based in China, are perhaps best known for their range of award-winning small form factor cases and complementary accessories. Fanless by design, utilising the chassis exterior and innovative heat transfer technology to cool toasty components, they share a minimalistic aesthetic which makes them at home almost anywhere in an office or at home. However today Streacom are branching out into uncharted territory (for them) and taking their first steps into larger chassis models which can accommodate the most powerful systems.
These first steps come in the form of a new chassis which Streacom are calling the F12C. An ATX design, compatible with full-length PSUs and graphics cards, it nonetheless echoes Streacom's ultra-minimalist aesthetics through the use of an exterior composed of 4mm-thick aluminium with sandblasted finish.
The unassuming exterior however belies a much more complex interior which facilitates optimal storage and cooling your requirements. Depending on the motherboard up to 24 2.5" or 12 3.5" drives can be installed; full-size ATX motherboards will always leave room for at least 2 2.5" and 5 3.25" HDDs/SSDs. Even at the premium end of the market this flexibility is a rarity, and is thanks to an innovative mounting system for both fans and storage.
Streacom have also taken the step of adding water-cooling support via upper-mounting rails which, when combined with dust-filtered ventilation and a little bit of planning, means that the overall cooling potential for the F12C is excellent for a chassis with only 420x320x184mm footprint. Seven PCIe slots also means that dual GPU (up to 310mm long) configurations are possible, so the F12C is no impediment to your system taking on the role of a high-end living room gaming rig.
