The Thunderbolt technology developed by Intel is really an incredible bit of technology. It is a single connector that can do anything and is a possible replacement for all other interfaces. Thunderbolt 1 supports 10Gb/s bandwidth for each port, which is double USB 3.0.

Let's take a closer look at the board itself.

- 2 x Intel Thunderbolt 2 ports
- 1 x HDMI port
- 4 x DIMM slots
- 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots
- 10 x SATA 6Gbit/s ports
- 8 x USB 3.0 ports with USB 3.0 Boost
- 8 x USB 2.0 ports
- ATX Form factor

The inclusion of the Thunderbolt 2 ports gives the board support for 4K/60 video and is the first motherboard to support this. It also includes a HDMI port which means that the board has the potential to drive 3 4K displays at once. An NFC Express accessory is also included for Near-Field Communication. Surely this sends shivers down the spines of enthusiasts everywhere. Oh and we think the colour's are perfect too!

Now onto pricing; Given that the Z87-Deluxe/Dual costs around £243.38 than you would expect this board to be more. How much more we're not sure but we'll keep you updated as more details emerge.
