Not content with recent innovations in PSU and Cooling market segments, Thermaltake are complementing their line of award-winning PC chassis with two new products in their Max series of HDD accessories: the Max 5G and Max 5 Duo.

Thermaltake's Max 5G is an external enclosure for 2.5" HDDs and SSDs of up to 9.5mm in height which offers hassle-free Plug & Play installation. Unlike many such enclosures on the market today the 5G offers compatibility for SATA III SSDs and USB 3.0, allowing transfer rates of up to 5.0Gbps. Installing and removing drives is a tool-less operation, and during travel the enclosure can be kept secure within its own leather carry case. If you wanted to match your enclosure to your Thermaltake chassis, the Max 5G's ruggedised aesthetics complement cases such as the Chaser Mk-I perfectly.



Unlike the 5G, the Max 5 Duo is an internal device that occupies a spare 5.25" drive bay on your chassis and offers dual-bay hot-swap support for 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs and SSDs. Coupled with those features are two USB 3.0 ports which connect to your system via a motherboard header, adding additional expansion possibilities to any system without chassis-mounted USB 3.0. HDD access LED indicators, a fast power on/off switch and patented hot-swap connector round off the Max 5 Duo's comprehensive feature list.
