Thermaltake are experts in all things cooling, from chassis through to closed loop liquid cooling systems, but specific GPU waterblocks are quite uncommon in their lineup. At least, they're uncommon for now.

This week Thermaltake are releasing a new GPU waterblock specifically designed for an Nvidia GTX 980-powered graphics card, but not just any card. However rather than targeting the reference PCB layout the Pacific V-GTX 980 VGA Water Block design is compatible only with the ASUS STRIX GTX 980, a high-end GPU which is part of the ASUS STRIX gaming brand. A full-cover water block, the Pacific V-GTX 980 has a 0.7mm internal fin design and fits most G1/4 fittings, whilst the mounting is tool-free and intended to enable error-free installation.

This new waterblock is designed to complement Thermaltake's more recent ventures into water cooling under the LCS umbrella, and is accompanied by a series of bridges to support multiple ASUS STRIX GTX 980's in 2, 3 and 4-way SLI configurations.

There is currently no information on price and availability. More detail on Thermaltake's watercooling lineup can be found at Thermaltake.com.
