Dell's InfinityEdge range displays from the Desktop variety to even their Mobile range with their laptops. The term 'InfinityEdge' is used by Dell to distinguish and market their super-slim bezel designed displays.
Dell has now introduced the U2717D; a 27" Display with a bezel thickness of 7.3mm at the top, 8.4mm at the bottom. The panel itself is a matte, anti-glare IPS WLED-backlit display with 2560x1440 resolution operating at 60Hz. 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 178-degree viewing angles, 350 cd/m2 maximum brightness along with true 8-bit colour (16.7 million) without dithering.
Inputs include: 2x HDMI 1.4 (with MHL 2.0), 1x MiniDP 1.2, 1x DisplayPort 1.2 input & 1x DisplayPort 1.2 output. x4 USB 3.0, 1x 3.5mm audio output.
On the stand, the display measures 410.2mm tall by 611.3mm wide with a 200.3mm depth. Weight comes to 4.5KG.
As with most UltraSharp displays, the stand allows the monitor to be moved to either Portrait or Landscape.
This particular model is available on the Chinese website for ¥5,999 Chinese Yuan - which equates to around £635.
