Following a short grace period after launch it appears that Respawn Entertainment are set to tar and feather those who use aimbots and other cheats in their multiplayer FPS Titanfall. Unlike some studios Respawn aren't about to ban them outright though; they've chosen a far more amusing punishment to fit this particular crime. As explained in the updated FAQ:
Q.) So what happens if I get banned?
A.) Great news: you get to keep playing Titanfall! Less-great news: you only get to play with other cheaters. You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck.

Bans started to be handed last Friday and will continue as their detection algorithms continue to improve.
Not only is this a good public relations move - almost everyone likes to see cheaters being humbled - it also has another side effect. Presupposing that cheaters continue to play even whilst flagged the anti-hack team can monitor those players more closely, nipping new hacks in the bud as they appear and of course improving their overall detection system, all without letting them contaminate the pool of legitimate players.
Knowing if you have been flagged is easy - when in the player lobby you will see the 'FairFight: Cheat Detected' just above your team list. Players who team up with cheats through the friend system will also only be matched against other cheats whilst they're in the party, and won't be labelled as a cheat when they leave the party.
Those who fear they have been flagged unintentionally can of course appeal through an e-mail posted in the same FAQ. The anti-cheat system only applies to the PC version of the game.
