Western Digital (WD) adds a massive 8TB variant for the WD_BLACK SN850X PCIe Gen4 SSD. Launched back in 2022, the WD_BLACK SN850X is available with and without a heatsink. Initially, the SN850X is offered in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities. The new WD_BLACK SN850X 8TB variant aims to address the needs of power users and content creators for high-capacity, high-performance PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.
The WD_BLACK SN850X with heatsink is compatible with the PlayStation 5 console. The SN850X delivers speeds of up to 7200MB/s read and up to 6600MB/s write. The SN850X is backed with a 5-year warranty.
