Western Digital's Green range of Hard Drives are designed for users who need high capacity and energy efficient storage solutions. The drive has a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, variable sub-6,000 RPM spindle-speeds, 64MB Cache and acoustics management. What is probably more impressive is the fact that the drive is designed to draw around 3.3W when spinning (up to 4.3W under stress) and just 0.4W when the drive is parked and spun-down!
