All users are now able to download and install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, which consists of mainly a collection of individual updates released up to this point in time.

Some new features for Windows 2008 R2 are introduced, such as Dynamic Memory and RemoteFX. To learn more about these, read the SP1 knowledge base article and the relevant links within.

You should be able to download the update through Windows update - press start, all programs, Windows Update.

To download the standalone version, go here. This isn't recommended unless you plan to distribute the update to many PCs, or you have a machine with none of the incremental updates applied since release.
