Cinebench provides a real world test rendering a 3D image in realtime.

Multithreading is obviously the winner here since there is a marked boost in performance between the 555 unlocked to Quad and the 1055T Hex cores. Add that impressive 3.86GHz overclock and the results speak for themselves!

Finally I used the x264 HD benchmark – it makes four passes over two different files to generate a result. I took the average of each of the four results from the two groups to generate the final result you can see in the graph.

Multiple cores vertainly offer additional performance - the 1055T @ 3.86GHz offers quite a chunk of additional performance... especially in Test B.
