Spawned from the popular Alien and Predator franchises, Rebellion have collaborated to bring the legendary war to us through the medium of a first-person shooter. The game forces you to hunt, prey and most importantly survive in the swamp colony of Freya's prospect as a Predator, Alien or Marine. The stunning visuals add to the sense of dread and terror that we have become so accustomed to seeing with the series.

The stand-alone Alien VS Predator benchmark tool was used for testing here. All the settings were set to very high and Tessellation was applied. The average FPS was recorded at the end.








The HD6970 performs very well here. Thanks to its improved tessellation performance, it leads the HD5870 by up to 17% with no AA applied and up to 34% with 4xAA. Here, the performance gap between the HD6970 and the HD6950 is around 13%. It also manages to outperform the GTX480 by around 10%.

The overclocked results show reduced performance gaps but the HD6970 still manages to outperform the GTX480 by 5%. It also outperforms the HD6950 by a healthy 10% when both are overclocked
