I tested desktop performance initially using both Everest Ultimate (Trial Edition) and Futuremark’s PCMark05.
Everest was first and the results are pretty good. They definitely compare well to the overclocked Phenom II X3 720 i've tested in the past. Compared to the i5 at a very modest 3.2ghz clock (that was a 4ghz capable set up remember) the intel takes the lead in almost every respect.
