Metro 2033 is a first person shooter and survival horror game based on the popular Russian book of the same name. It's set in a post apocalyptic Russia, capturing all the grit and grime of the location in stunning DirectX 11 graphics. It is widely regarded to be one of the most graphically demanding titles so far released on PC.
Tests were run at 1680x1050 0xAA 0xAF on the highest settings possible.
The demanding nature of this game has separated the boards a little more than in previous tests, with the benefits of overclocking the CPU becoming more clear and a larger percentage of overall performance. Once again, the mainstream ASUS board tops the other two, though there's not much in it to the Foxconn offering, the ECS brings up the rear by more of a margin.
This shows us once more that the ASUS P8P67 is making the best use of the components we've given it to perform with. The margins aren't outstanding, but certainly worthy of praise.
