Overclocking
Overclocking with STRIX X99 Gaming is a breeze thanks to the strong features and flexible options within the UEFI BIOS. In the past, our Intel Core i7-5960X has been capable of up to 4.9/5GHz, so we instantly began testing for the maximum possible overclock.
STRIX X99 Gaming was able to achieve our milestone quite easily, requiring 1.4v to reach the heights of 4.9GHz. Since our board can hit the same marker as other previously reviewed boards this is an indication of how capable STRIX X99 Gaming really is.
