ASUS took center stage at CeBIT 2010 with over 3 booths dedicated to showcasing the latest and greatest from the hardware giant. We had a good look at some of the upcoming products to launch this year. Here are some of them.
Crosshair IV Extreme
The motherboard on display had 4x HD5870's installed. The Crosshair IV Extreme also allows you to control overclocking via windows mobile so you can tweak settings without having to actually be at your computer.
This board incorporates the 890FX chipset and so supports AMD based chips. The board on display had a 1500W PSU powering all four graphics cards.
MS208N LED Monitor
There was a lot of focus on greener products at the show this year and ASUS were displaying a good example of this via the MS208N. This monitor uses LED technology to achieve 45% power saving. What struck me the most was the ultra-slim profile, just 16.5mm thick and yet, at the very peak of performance - 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time on this 20" widescreen example.
Xonar Xense
One of my favourites there at the ASUS booth was the Xonar Xense. ASUS have teamed with Sennheiser and with this package you get a 118dB SNR. 7.1 channel output capabilities. The Xense will come coupled with a Sennheiser headset to give gamers the ultimate experience in their favourite titles.
ASUS NX90
Want to be mobile but enjoy the blistering performance from your surround system on your desktop? The NX90 tackles this by offering a duet of style and sonority. It features 'SonicMaster Premium' an exclusive suite of hardware and software technoloies developed by ASUS and Bang & Olufsen ICEpower. Basically the NX90 gives a wider frequency range providing richer more distinct tones, clarity and vocals.
The NX90 features Core i5 or Core i7 processors, DDR3 memory (up to 12GB!) NVIDIA GT335M and comes with dual touchpads. It's the first laptop to feature such an audio catalyst and is sure to set multimedia fans in a spin.
