Wildfire SATAIII SSD

As well as memory, Patriot has been a brand that have been providing the consumer with SSDs since they entered the market. Their current range is both affordable and competitive. Their latest SSD series named Wildfire sees the SSD take on the SATAIII interface, so as you would imagine – greater bandwidth is available. Patriot had their Inferno SATAII SSD compared against the Wildfire SATAIII SSD to illustrate the performance gain that can be had. See the photo below showing ATTO benchmark performance for Inferno vs. Wildfire. Wildfire offers almost double the performance from a SATAII SSD. Impressive stuff!

Expect the Patriot Wildfire to ship in Q2 2011 in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.
