Packaging & First Look

The Das Keyboard X50Q comes in a sturdy box that is quite vibrant. The front features an image of the keyboard with some information and features of the X50Q. Its well laid out and not too full of text.

The rear is black and showcases the keyboard with some of the smart features on offer as well as a few specifications.

With the X50Q there is a bundled palm rest, keycap puller, replacement WASD keycaps and the documentation. The WASD keycaps and the keycap puller arrive in a foam block that has a plastic hard plastic sleeve, this is great for keeping them safe when not in use.

The X50Q takes a more professional approach with the dark black Anodised Aluminium top plate, deep black keycaps and subtle branding so it would definitely not look out of place in a high-end modern office or minimalist home setup.
