The results have been arranged in terms of the fan configuration that yields the best results for each cooler. However, it is important to take into account that many coolers come with their own fans and changing those increases the costs significantly, so the “out of the box” cooler configurations have been highlighted in red each group.

The Enermax takes a very sharp dive in performance when trying to deal with an overclocked CPU falling to the bottom of our chart. Let’s first take a look at the different fan configurations. With its single fan at 1900RPM, it results in a delta of 65C which increases to 68.25C when the fan slows down to 1155RPM. Two Noctua fans yield slightly higher delta temperatures than the single T.B.Apollish fan at 1900RPM whereas the two Coolink fans produce the best performance. In this case, the Dow Corning thermal grease give slightly better results than the standard ChillFactor II thermal paste.
