Overclocking (GPU Boost)
Overclocking via NVIDIA's GPU Boost was covered in our ZOTAC GTX680 review so I won't go into detail here on the attributes and pitfalls of using this method to overclock a GPU. Suffice to say it is relatively easy to use if somewhat a little awkward when determining the weak link in an overclock.

The EVGA Signature Superclocked arrives pre-overclocked to an already impressive 1085/6208MHz which is some 80MHz faster on the core and 50(200)MHz faster memory. Not bad at all! LEt's see how much there is left in reserve...

Despite days of frustration, we only managed a miserely 44MHz offset on the GPU which translated to an 145MHz overclock (GPU Boost). This was with the voltage set to a maximum 1175mV. Of course this is no shameful result but I expected more due to the extra power phase available. Alas it seems EVGA have eeked most of the performance from the card on your behalf and should you eventually watercool the card, I have some strong suspicions that you may well find overclocks to surpass our efforts.
