Overclocking
Overclocking with Skylake is now fully flexible since we can adjust many variables including BCLK and ratio/multiplier.
Our current milestone is 4.8GHz with the Intel Core i7-6700K – sadly, the Gaming 5 wasn’t able to attain this frequency. Instead, we managed to achieve 4.7GHz; which isn’t too shabby at all. At 4.7GHz (100x47) we required a CPU core voltage of 1.37v.
Reaching this mark was easy thanks to the feature-packed UEFI BIOS – where there are plenty of advanced options for overclockers.
