The GTX560Ti is not a very power hungry card but it’s not the most efficient either. The card draws 345W under load at its reference Nvidia clocks and when set to it pre-overclocked settings, not much changes despite the voltage increase on top. Not surprisingly, it’s the least power hungry Nvidia card with significantly lower idle power draw being the cherry on top. Compared to the AMD HD6950, the latter proves to be slightly more efficient and draw less power at idle. Both use two pin PCIe connectors and are aimed at the same market so it shouldn’t be unexpected to see them both performing similarly in this regard. AMD have to be commended for creating the more efficient card and for their cards ability to clock down in 2D mode when two screens are connected.
