With the PC-A77F we have looked at physical design and craftsmanship but now we come to thermal performance. It has a total of 6 fans, so this should allow for some excellent cooling performance. As already mentioned the fan controller is absent from this test so all fans at the front are running at 12v except the rear exhaust and top mounted fans which are using the 3-pin header ports on the motherboard.
In order to determine the thermal performance, temperatures will be monitored at idle and load states. Load state is performed by running 3DMark Vantage.
System Components
CPU Intel Core i7 920
Motherboard ASUS P6T Deluxe
Memory 12GB GeIL EVO ONE PC3-1600MHz DDR3
Graphics Sapphire ATI HD5870
PSU Antec Signature 850W
HDD Samsung Spinpoint 500GB
Thermals are impressive, most notably the CPU temperatures do not budge very much at all. The GPU temperatures are also pleasing to see, the fans running at 12v provide some excellent air pressure. Sound-wise the fans are noticable, but remember they are runing at full power. I wouldn't say they are disturbing though.
