Logitech G703 Review

Closer Look (Continued)
The underside is obviously home to the PixArt PMW3366 sensor, positioned in the centre. There’s a small PTFE curtain around the sensor to prevent the ingress of dirt, dust and anything else you may find on your mousemat. The top and bottom of the mouse are covered by large glide pads to reduce friction as much as possible, replacements are also available for these, for around £4. Next to the sensor is the on/off switch, red for off, green for on, simple.

That large circular piece is a removable weight storage, held in place by two small magnets. Removal is as easy as pushing the small concave section in, which pivots the entire assembly on a central fulcrum.

Once removed, the weight fits perfectly inside the foam interior. The magnets are also more than strong enough to hold the weight in place. Unfortunately, when the mouse is used with Logitech’s PowerPlay mousemat, this weight system cannot be used, with the recess instead being occupied by the wireless charging adaptor.

As mentioned earlier, the Micro-USB cable is a proprietary design to help hold the cable in place and prevent damage to the port or the cable over time. This cable is entirely unnecessary when using the PowerPlay mousemat.
