Packaging, Bundle, and Cables

The CENTURY II comes in a straightforward package – badges of the certifications and standards can be found at the front.

More details can be found at the back, including the cable included and specifications.

On one side of the box, the efficiency and fan noise information can be seen. The CENTURY II 850W’s efficiency peaks at 40% load which is unlike the PSUs we’ve reviewed so far this year like the FSP VITA GM 1000W and Super Flower LEADEX III GOLD ATX 3.1 850W – both PSUs’ efficiency peaks at 50% load.

The CENTURY II 850W PSU is packed and protected with Styrofoam, and a fabric bag that contains the cables is also inside, along with cable ties, a power cord, and Velcro straps.

The CENTURY II 850W uses flat black cables, very common on most PSUs nowadays.

The CENTURY II 850W comes with a 12V-2x6 cable rated for 450W, which is quite unlike the LEADEX III GOLD UP ATX 3.1 850W that had a 12V-2x6 cable rated for 600W. MONTECH positioned this PSU model for entry-level and mid-end PC builds, supporting up to an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti graphics card and probably an RTX 5080, but definitely not an RTX 5090, based on the wattage rating of the included cable.
