Two trends have crept their way into the peripherals market in recent years, lightweight mice and wireless technology, traditionally it has been incredibly difficult to produce any product that’s lightweight and wireless, typically due to the weight of a battery. However, ROCCAT appear to have cracked it with the Burst Pro Air, tipping the scales at only 81 grams.

The Burst Pro Air offers a 100-hour battery life, 2.4GHz gaming-grade wireless connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 5.2 for less latency-sensitive applications, a 19K DPI optical sensor and NVIDIA Reflex compatibility. Not only that, ROCCAT have shoe-horned four-zone RGB lighting under the shell, and equipped it with their new Titan Optical Switch technology for unprecedented speed and precision.

ROCCAT’s Bionic Shell, which features a honeycomb structure under the plastic, helps to reduce the mouse’s weight while retaining water and dust resistance, and thanks to the symmetrical shape, the mouse is suitable for righties or lefties.

The feature list is certainly promising and it comes from a strong pedigree, so let’s see how it fares in our tests.

ROCCAT on the Burst Pro Air:
Meet the ROCCAT® Burst™ Pro Air wireless gaming mouse for PC. The Burst™ Pro Air brings ROCCAT’s symmetrical lightweight shape with its enthusiast feature set, comfort and performance, into wireless. Its water- and dust-resistant Bionic shell keeps mass at a lightweight 81 grams. Featuring Titan Switch Optical, heat-treated glides and Stellar Wireless technology for high-performing, unrestricted gameplay.
