Dota Plus is now available, an improvement from Battle Pass and a new monthly subscription service that’s designed to help players get the most out of every match.
While the old Battle Pass had two types which revolve around the Majors and The International, Dota Plus’ service will not depend on any specific date and will continuously get more features and content over time.
During the shift from Battle Pass to Dota Plus, there will be features that will come along during the transition that offer opportunities for improvement. Hero Levelling offer players a way to make progress while earning Shards on every match. The Shards are a new currency that will be used to unlock rewards. There will be new Challenges with varying difficulties and the Plus Assistant that aides players on build decisions, ability suggestions, and others.
The Dota Plus update will also include the return of Battle Cup. All Dota Plus members will have free weekly access to play in the weekend tournaments, while non-members can still purchase tickets for $0.99 to participate.
