Arctic officially announces the availability of the new generation Arctic Liquid Freezer II Series coolers. The first prototype of the Arctic Liquid Freezer II was first seen last February featuring a hybrid cooling design that uses both air-cooling and water-cooling mechanisms to deliver superior thermal management. The second-generation Arctic Liquid Freezer coolers include four product versions: Liquid Freezer II 120, Liquid Freezer II 240, Liquid Freezer II 360, and Liquid Freezer II 280.
The Arctic Liquid Freezer II Series sports an in-house developed energy-efficient PWM-controlled pump with a copper cold plate to deliver on-demand extreme cooling and quiet operation. At low loads, the pump reduces its speed maintaining optimal cooling while lowering power consumption and noise. The 40mm fan on the pump provides consistent cooling for the motherboard voltage converter, while the sealed water circuit is maintenance-free. The Liquid Freezer II coolers come bundled with pressure-optimized and PWM-controlled ARCTIC P fans that ensure the optimal cooling performance-to-noise ratio is achieved.
The new Arctic Liquid Freezer II coolers are designed to meet the needs of gamers and enthusiasts with high-performance desktop configurations. The Liquid Freezer II is perfect for cooling desktop PCs used for gaming, rendering, video editing, and other CPU-intensive tasks. The Liquid Freezer II coolers support the latest AMD and Intel mainstream platforms, Intel LGA 115X and AMD AM4, as well as Intel’s HEDT LGA 2011-3 and LGA 2066 platforms. With that, the Liquid Freezer II coolers support the upcoming Intel Cascade Lake-X processors coming this November.
