GAMDIAS has expanded its premium power supply lineup with the THOR P2 Series, a family of fully modular 80 PLUS Platinum power supplies available in 850W, 1050W and 1350W capacities. Designed for enthusiast gaming PCs and workstations, the series supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, features a native 600W 12V-2x6 connector, premium Japanese capacitors and is backed by a 12-year warranty.

There are, however, a couple of notable talking points surrounding this launch. First, the "THOR" branding is somewhat unusual given ASUS ROG's well-established THOR PSU series, which has been on the market since 2018. Secondly, the THOR P2 Series launches without Cybenetics certification, following Cybenetics' public accusation that GAMDIAS used unauthorised Cybenetics badges on its HELIOS P2 Series despite the units never being certified or listed in the official database. The THOR P2 Series is the brand's first PSU launch since that controversy.

80 PLUS Platinum Efficiency
The THOR P2 Series carries an 80 PLUS Platinum certification, offering high power conversion efficiency to reduce wasted energy and heat output while maintaining stable power delivery under demanding gaming and workstation workloads.

ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 Ready
Built to the latest Intel ATX 3.1 specification, the THOR P2 Series supports up to 3x GPU power excursions and 2x total power excursions. Each model includes a native 600W 12V-2x6 cable with a dual-colour connector to help users verify proper installation, alongside multiple 6+2-pin PCIe connectors for compatibility with both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards.

Premium Internal Design
GAMDIAS equips the THOR P2 Series with 100% 105°C Japanese capacitors, a DC-to-DC topology, LLC resonant converter and synchronous rectification to provide stable voltage regulation, improved efficiency and long-term reliability.

FDB Cooling with Zero RPM Mode
Cooling is handled by a 135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan featuring Smart Silent Mode. Under light system loads of approximately 15–20%, the fan remains switched off for silent operation before ramping up automatically as temperatures increase.

Fully Modular Cabling and Protection
The fully modular cable layout simplifies cable management while improving airflow inside the chassis. Comprehensive protection circuitry includes OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OCP and OTP safeguards, with the entire series backed by a 12-year warranty.
