It's AMDFriday at UK etailer OverclockersUK, which means major offers are available on a range of AMD (and related) components. This week's AMDFriday deals are centered around high-resolution gaming, with graphics cards, monitors and cooling solutions available.

The headline offer is for the Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2, which has been drastically reduced in price to £699.95 compared to £1039.99 recently (notably that's still the approx. price at other retailers). Designed very much for high resolution, high frame-rate gameplay (as shown in our Eyefinity review), the chief impediment to purchase has very much been the cost of the card. Now however it's a lot more bearable, although still quite the premium product.

Those with less than £700 to spend aren't left out in the cold. Also amongst the deals are two for the high performance Sapphire R9 290 and R9 290X with non-reference cooling, available from £259.99.

If you're looking for a high-resolution screen to complement these cards OCUK also have another couple of offers. The LG Flatron 34UM95-P 34" is a 3440x1440 IPS monitor with Displayport and Thunderbolt support, now for sale at only £769.99. A little more modestly priced is the Samsung U28D590, a 4K 28" monitor designed specifically for gaming and available for £429.95.
