HYTE Augments Product Lineup to Embrace Universal Compatibility & Reveals Y50 RGB Case

COMPUTEX 2026 is now well underway in Taipei and popular case manufacturer HYTE - creators of the striking Y70 Touch and other Y-Series PC cases - has arrived with their widest range of products yet. They include a brand new PC case striving to charm mainstream audiences, their first-ever ARGB performance fans, a brand new Smart Hub, and more besides. A full breakdown is available on their Computex 2026 microsite but here are some of the highlights.

The $99.99 Y50 RGB Essential Aesthetic Case

HYTE's new Y50 RGB Essential Aesthetic is their most affordable PC chassis to date but you'd be forgiven for assuming it resided in a much higher bracket. The aesthetics are pure Y-series, strongly evoking the Y70 and Y60's panoramic view of system components, while tweaking external dimensions and internal layouts such that it remains a very distinct enclosure.

Exterior aside, one of the more surprising aspects for a case in this class is native compatibility with rear-connect component ecosystems including ASUS BTF, Gigabyte STEALTH, and MSI Project ZERO. Simple support for rear-connect components and motherboard layouts is currently still seen as a highly premium choice, not least in part due to the cost of core components, so it must be gratifying for those manufacturers to observe broader support in all market segments rather than just at the enthusiast tiers.

It's a full-tower steel case with tempered glass panels, supporting motherboards up-to EATX and 360mm radiators in the roof and front. Four 120mm PWM RGB fans are included in the retail pack, three of which incorporate a Reverse-Blade Design that's ideal for side-mounted radiators. The PSU is mounted behind the motherboard tray, allowing for excellent cable management with a minimum of effort.

HYTE doesn't even skimp on the I/O thanks to two USB 3.2 Gen1 (Type A) and one USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type C) connector alongside a 3.5mm combination audio jack. This front panel is fixed at the bottom of the case, ideally located if resting on rather than under a desk.

Two key differentiating features however are both the lack of native support for vertically-mounted GPUs and tall feet to aid air intake from the floor. In totality however, this doesn't seem like a shortfall that can't be rectified by enterprising owners tight with cash but boundless with creativity and a temptation to tinker.

The Y50 will be launching with five starkly different colourways - Snow White, Pitch Black, Strawberry Milk, Taro Milk and the startling red of Black Cherry that always seems to come to mind when we think of HYTE chassis.

The THICC FR12 RGB - Unibody Fan Design for Radiators

As showing off system components has become of ever-greater importance in enclosure design, so fan manufacturers have struggled with creating designs which enhance rather than detract from the overall system's appeal. From lighting customisation to cable consolidation and hiding the uglier side of traditional fan hubs, there's a wide variety of novel approaches. At COMPUTEX 2026 HYTE are demo'ing their take on the challenge, one that's certainly bold.

The THICC FR12 RGB are 120mm and 360mm unibody PWM fans with up-to 68 integrated ARGB LEDs and a 32mm-thick frame, its larger size being no problem for the Hyte Y-series and 'fish tank' models from their competitors. The fans feature both traditional and reverse-blade orientations and strong airflow up-to 57.14 GFM and static pressure of 4.44mm H2O.

Joining these designs are new G2 versions of the FA-12 fans. Packaged in kits of four 'Solo' 120mm fans or single 'Trio' 360mm modules, they boast a refined fan blade profile, reverse blade configuration option, PWM control, fluid dynamic bearings for an ideal mix of performance and low noise that matches HYTE's own Y-series cases.

Accessories for Modern System Builders Rounds Out The Range

The final set of products debuting at COMPUTEX 2026 are a set of essential accessories for today's system builders who need customisation for and compatibility with a huge potential variety of system configurations.

A new PSU cable extension family will help to create a clean and visually coherent colourscheme for system internals, launching in black, white, 'Strawberry Milk' and 'Taro Milk' (not co-incidentally matching most of the Y50 RGB's colourways). Complete kits will include extensions for 12V 2×6 GPU, PCIe, CPU and ATX Motherboard.

The adorably-named ARGB Noodle LN80 is quite simply an internal ARGB strip with braided cable that offers 215-degree illumination in a soft and refined glow rather than sharp individual elements. It connects to standard ARGB headers on controllers or motherboards with native support, and has been designed to fit the interior contours of of the Y70, Y60 and Y40.

Last but not least, HYTE are showing off their ARGB and PWM Smart Hub. Designed to be magnetically mounted internally in discreet locations and power ARGB lighting and four independent PWM headers, it leverages HYTE's Nexus Software for optimum control with minimal fuss on the user's end.
