SilverStone has introduced the FLP03, a retro-inspired micro-ATX chassis that brings classic beige PC aesthetics into the modern era. Serving as the mATX counterpart to the SilverStone FLP02, the new chassis delivers a more compact form factor while retaining the nostalgic styling and broad hardware compatibility that made its larger sibling stand out.
Designed to relive the spirit of the 1990s, the SilverStone FLP03 pairs its iconic beige exterior and perforated 5.25-inch bay cover with support for modern high-performance hardware. The chassis accommodates graphics cards up to 413mm in length, offers flexible storage options, and features a dedicated Turbo button that instantly drives all connected PWM fans to full speed. Its three external 5.25-inch bays further expand storage possibilities, supporting SilverStone's extensive range of drive bay accessories for 3.5-inch hard drives, 2.5-inch SSDs, and even M.2 SSDs, allowing builders to combine retro aesthetics with versatile storage configurations.
Reliving the 90s Spirit
The SilverStone FLP03 embraces classic PC styling with its beige finish and perforated 5.25-inch drive bay cover. Despite its retro appearance, the chassis is designed for modern systems, supporting micro-ATX motherboards and a wide range of storage devices including 5.25-inch optical drives, 3.5-inch hard drives, and 2.5-inch SSDs.
One-Touch Turbo Boost Cooling
One of the SilverStone FLP03's standout features is its dedicated Turbo button. Pressing the button instantly drives all connected PWM fans to full speed for maximum airflow, while an integrated digital display provides a real-time indication of PWM duty cycle. Fan speeds can also be adjusted through the motherboard for more precise thermal management.
Extensive Cooling Support
The SilverStone FLP03 offers versatile cooling options for both air- and liquid-cooled systems. A 180mm front fan and a 120mm rear fan come pre-installed, while additional mounting positions support up to three 120mm fans or two 140mm fans at the top, plus two 120mm fans in the PSU chamber. The case also supports a wide range of radiators, including up to 280mm units at the front and up to a 360mm radiator at the top, allowing builders to create high-performance cooling configurations. Users planning to install 5.25-inch devices should verify clearance with cooling components.
Modern Hardware Compatibility with Classic Security Features
Alongside support for graphics cards measuring up to 413mm in length, the FLP03 incorporates a physical key lock mechanism that prevents accidental power and reset button presses. Front I/O connectivity includes one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, separate audio and microphone jacks, bringing modern convenience to a distinctly retro design.
Pricing and Availability
The SilverStone FLP03 mATX Retro Chassis will be available at partner resellers for $179.99 MSRP.
